How it works

Renting & hosting on Renta

Verified listings 50% deposit, rest at pick-up 0% commission for hosts

Renting a vehicle

Book a car, SUV, hatchback, scooter or motorbike from a local host — usually within minutes of sending the request.

  1. Step 1

    Search & compare

Browse cars, SUVs, hatchbacks, scooters and motorbikes across Puerto Princesa and Palawan. Filter by vehicle type, dates, budget and location — then check real photos, daily rates, transmission type and past renter ratings before you decide.

  2. Step 2

Pick dates & message the host

Every listing shows a live availability calendar, so the dates you choose are genuinely free. Not sure about something? Chat with the host in-app first — ask about luggage space, tolls, or where handover works best for you.

  3. Step 3

    Book with a 50% deposit

Reserve instantly by paying half the trip total via GCash or bank transfer — the exact amount due is always shown up front. No hidden platform fees, no card required. The remaining balance is settled at pick-up.

  4. Step 4

    Host confirms your trip

Your request goes straight to the owner, who accepts or declines it along with the rest of their bookings. You'll see the status update in your dashboard — pending, confirmed, or rejected — the moment they respond.

  5. Step 5

Meet at handover & hit the road

Meet the host at an agreed spot — the airport, city proper or your hotel, or a delivery location the host offers (with its fee shown before you book). Inspect the vehicle together, get the keys, and start your trip.

  6. Step 6

Return the ride & leave a rating

Drop the vehicle back at the agreed time and place, settle the balance, then rate your host. Your review helps the next traveller — and good hosts rise to the top.

Ready when you are. Vehicles show live availability — pick your dates and reserve today.

Hosting your vehicle

Turn idle cars and motorbikes into income on your own terms — you set the price, the rules, and where you hand over the keys.

  1. Step 1

    Create your listing

Add photos, a description, and the details renters care about — vehicle type, transmission, seats and plate number. Our team reviews new listings so every one on the marketplace is trustworthy.

  2. Step 2

    Set your price & rules

You choose your own daily rate and adjust it whenever you like. Block the days you need the vehicle for yourself on the availability calendar — booked dates and your blocks sync automatically so you can never double-book.

  3. Step 3

    Offer handover spots

List the places you're willing to meet or deliver — airport, city proper, hotels, even Port Barton or El Nido — and set your own delivery fee per location. Renters see every option and its cost before booking.

  4. Step 4

    Approve requests & chat

You're in control: accept or decline every booking request. Answer questions in in-app chat, and track each trip through your host dashboard — pending, confirmed, completed — all in one place.

  5. Step 5

Hand over the keys, get paid

Collect the remaining balance at pick-up. The deposit you already received stays yours. Keep 100% of every booking — Renta takes zero commission.

  6. Step 6

    Grow your reputation

Earn 5-star reviews for smooth handovers and well-kept vehicles. Ratings build trust, bring repeat renters, and turn a single car into steady monthly income.

Questions people actually ask

What does it cost to book?

You pay the daily rate × the number of days, plus any delivery fee if you choose a handover location away from the default. Half of that total is due as a deposit when you reserve; the rest is settled at pick-up. There are no extra service charges.

How do I pay as a renter?

Deposits are paid through GCash or bank transfer using the payment details provided during checkout. Your booking moves to “pending confirmation” once payment is submitted, and the host finalises it.

Can I cancel a booking?

Yes — you can cancel from your dashboard while the booking is still pending payment or pending confirmation. Once a host has confirmed your trip, message them in-app to arrange a cancellation or reschedule, and keep the chat thread as your written record.

Is insurance included?

Basic insurance is included in the rental price, and comprehensive coverage can be added for an extra fee. Note that you remain responsible for damage during the rental period and for any traffic violations — details are in our Terms.

What about late returns?

You get a 30-minute grace period. Returns after that are charged an additional day’s rate, so tell your host early in chat if your plans shift.

Where does pick-up happen?

Wherever you and the host agree. Most offer the airport, city proper or hotel delivery — each with its fee listed on the vehicle page before you commit.

How much do hosts pay the platform?

Nothing per booking. Hosting is free for your first three vehicles; larger fleets pay a flat monthly subscription (₱1,000 for 4–10 vehicles, ₱3,000 for 11+). Renta takes 0% commission, so every peso of your rental price stays with you.

How do hosts get paid?

Renters pay deposits via GCash or bank transfer and settle the balance directly at handover. Hosts also configure their own payout method — GCash, bank transfer or PayPal — in their dashboard.
