Create your host account
/registerEverything starts with a free Renta account. Registration takes under a minute and only requires an email address.
Go to renta-ph.com/register (or click Sign up in the top-right corner of any page).
Enter your full name and a valid email address.
Choose a password of at least 6 characters, then re-enter it in Confirm password. Both entries must match exactly.
Add a phone number if you wish — it is optional, but renters can reach you faster for pickup coordination.
Under “I want to…”, select “List my vehicle” (labelled “Earn as a host”). This registers you as an owner and unlocks the host dashboard.
Click Sign up to host. You will see the confirmation message “Account created — you're all set!” and be redirected to the login page.
Tip: You can also sign up or log in with Google using the one-tap buttons on /login. Store your password in a password manager so you never get locked out of your listings.
- 2
Sign in and open your host dashboard
/ownerThe dashboard is the control centre for your entire rental business — every listing, booking, and statistic lives here.
Go to /login, enter the email and password you just created, and click Log in.
From the top navigation bar, click Dashboard. You will land on /owner.
At the top you'll see summary cards — vehicles visible, vehicles hidden, and average daily rate — followed by two primary actions: Bookings and Add a vehicle. For this guide, click Add a vehicle.
Please note: If the dashboard does not load, you are likely signed in with a renter account. Log out, register again choosing “List my vehicle”, and return to Step 2.
- 3
Enter your vehicle's details
/owner/vehicles/newClicking + Add a vehicle opens the new-listing form. Complete each field accurately — the information you enter here is exactly what renters see and compare against.
New vehicle listing form fields Field What to enter Example Type Select the vehicle category from the dropdown: Sedan, SUV, Hatchback, Scooter, Sportbike, or Dual-Sport. Scooter Listing title The headline renters see in search results. Lead with make/model plus your strongest selling point. Toyota Wigo — Automatic, Full AC Make The manufacturer. Toyota Model The model name. Wigo Year Model year, four digits. 2021 Transmission Automatic, Manual, or Semi-automatic. If the vehicle has no clutch pedal, it is almost certainly automatic. Automatic Seats Seating capacity for cars. Leave this field blank for scooters and motorcycles. 5 Fuel type Petrol, Diesel, Electric, or Hybrid. Petrol Plate number Required. Enter the registration plate exactly as printed, letters and numbers included. It verifies that the vehicle is legally yours to rent. ABC 1234 Tip: Accuracy builds trust. Listings whose details match the real vehicle receive better reviews and fewer disputes — and ratings are permanent.
- 4
Set your daily price
Same formLocate the Price per day (PHP) field. This is the single most important commercial decision in your listing.
Enter a whole number greater than zero — e.g. 1200 for a compact car or 400 for a scooter. Digits only: no peso sign, no commas, no decimals.
Before setting your rate, browse live listings and filter for vehicles of the same type, age, and location. Competitive rates typically sit within ±15% of comparable vehicles.
You can change your price at any time later — see Step 10.
Tip: Renta charges zero commission on bookings: you keep 100% of every rental payment. Hosts pay only a flat monthly subscription once they list more than three vehicles. Full details on the pricing page.
- 5
Configure weekly and monthly discounts
Same formDiscounts reward longer rentals with a lower daily rate. They reduce your handover workload, guarantee multi-day income, and make your listing more attractive in search. Two fields control them:
Weekly discount (%) — applied automatically when a rental is 7 days or longer. A common starting value is 10.
Monthly discount (%) — applied automatically when a rental is 28 days or longer. A common starting value is 20.
Prefer full-rate pricing? Set both values to 0. Discounts are entirely optional.
Please note: Three validation rules apply: ① the monthly discount must be strictly greater than the weekly discount (longer stays must always be the better deal); ② discounts never stack — the system automatically applies whichever single discount gives the renter the better price; ③ the maximum allowed value is 90%, preventing accidental near-free listings.
Tip: Worked example: a ₱1,000/day rate with a 10% weekly discount shows ₱900/day to a renter booking 7+ days. No manual calculation is needed — the discounted rate is displayed directly on your listing and at checkout.
- 6
Upload photos
Same form, lower sectionPhotos are the primary deciding factor for renters. Treat this section as seriously as the price.
Click the Photos field and select multiple images at once — thumbnails appear immediately below for review.
The first photo becomes the Cover image shown in search results. Use your strongest shot: a clean vehicle, daylight, front three-quarter angle.
Then document the full vehicle: exterior sides and rear, interior and dashboard, seats, boot, wheels. For scooters, include under-seat storage and any helmet you provide. You may upload up to 12 photos per listing.
Please note: Accepted formats are JPG, PNG, WEBP, GIF, and AVIF. Do not upload images that show other people's faces or personal documents (IDs, registration papers with full details visible).
Tip: Wash and vacuum the vehicle before shooting. A dirty vehicle in photos signals a dirty vehicle in real life — and renters scroll past it.
- 7
Add location, features, and a description
Same formPick-up location — where renters collect the vehicle. The default is Puerto Princesa City; update it if your vehicle is based elsewhere.
Features — list amenities separated by commas: “Aircon, Bluetooth, Dashcam, Helmet included”. Renters actively filter and search by these terms, so be thorough.
Description — write 2–4 sentences covering who the vehicle suits best (airport runs, city commuting, weekend trips), its condition, and anything a renter should know. Write factually and in your own voice.
Tip: After your listing is saved, the edit page also lets you define additional handover locations with delivery fees (e.g. airport drop-off for ₱300). That is covered in Step 10.
- 8
Publish and pass listing review
Admin reviewScroll to the bottom of the form and click Create listing. Your listing is saved instantly — but it begins in Pending status.
A member of the Renta team reviews your photos, plate number, and description to confirm the listing meets quality and verification standards. This protects both hosts and renters.
Once approved, the status changes to Approved and your vehicle goes live on the public marketplace at /vehicles, ready to receive booking requests.
Please note: Any subsequent full-form edit to an approved listing returns it to Pending review. Review your title, price, and photos carefully before the initial submission to avoid unnecessary delays.
- 9
Manage your availability calendar
AvailabilityFrom your dashboard, open the vehicle and click Availability. The calendar controls which dates renters can book.
Confirmed bookings block their date ranges automatically — no action required.
Manually block any dates the vehicle is unavailable: personal travel, scheduled servicing, or repairs. Renters cannot book blocked dates.
Tip: Review the calendar weekly. Accurate availability prevents cancellations, and cancellations damage your rating far more than a closed date range does.
- 10
Edit, hide, or delete your listing
/owner/vehiclesOn /owner/vehicles, use Show/Hide to toggle visibility instantly. Hidden listings disappear from search but existing bookings remain active.
Click Edit to change any detail. Note how saving works: the discount panel and handover location manager save immediately without re-review; full-form edits (title, price, photos, specs) go back through approval — see Step 8.
Adjust prices and discounts whenever the market moves. Seasonal demand in Palawan shifts noticeably between peak and green seasons.
Please note: Deleting a listing is permanent and removes its booking history. If the vehicle is simply off-rent for a while, hide it instead — you can relaunch in one click with your accumulated reputation intact.
- 11
Respond to booking requests
/owner/bookingsWhen a renter books your vehicle, you receive an email notification and the request appears in /owner/bookings under “Needs review.”
Open the request and verify the essentials: rental dates, the renter's message, and their uploaded driver's licence.
Accept with Confirm, or decline with Reject — if you reject, send a brief reason through the chat so the renter understands why.
After confirming, agree on the handover point and time. The renter pays a 50% deposit before pickup; the balance settles at return.
Tip: Response speed measurably affects conversion. Renters often submit requests to several similar listings at once — the host who replies first usually gets the booking.
- 12
Complete the handover — then repeat
/messagesMeet the renter at your agreed handover location. Walk around the vehicle together, photograph any existing scratches or dents, then hand over the keys (and spare helmet, if applicable).
During the rental, stay reachable through in-app messaging at /messages.
At return, inspect the vehicle, settle the balance, and the booking moves to Completed. The renter is then invited to leave a star rating.
Tip: Consistently five-star hosts do the same three things well: a cleaned vehicle, an on-time handover, and prompt, courteous replies. Master those and bookings compound.

Does it cost anything to list?
Your first 3 vehicles are free to list. Beyond that, hosting costs a flat monthly subscription — Renta never takes a percentage of your bookings. Details on the pricing page.
Can I list both a car and a scooter?
Yes — repeat Steps 3–8 for each vehicle. For scooters, leave the Seats field blank and mention helmets under Features.
My listing has been on “Pending” for a while
Every new and fully-edited listing passes a manual review. If yours has been pending unusually long, contact [email protected].
